Website content strategy
Strategic content planning to help you get found.
Imagine what you could do if you shared your expertise…
But to do all that, you need trailblazing content that creates conversation, provokes thoughts and action, and, yes, sucks up to Google.
That’s how one client describes working with me.
Like her, you have so much knowledge. So much experience. Such a bold perspective. The world needs to hear what you have to say. What you have to say could change the world.
It’s just that ‘saying it’ is holding you back. Your ideas are clear and concise in your head but they come out scrambled on the page.
It’s hard to know what’s relevant and what’s not. Hard to know how to structure your thoughts and write them in a way that’s engaging — or even coherent.
As AI content spreads across the internet like a tea stain on a white tablecloth, people crave the personal. They want human connection. They hunt insightful opinions, original stories, and the irreplaceable lived experience.
These things are good for SEO too. Google now prizes content that showcases the human touch through Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trust (EEAT).
Which is to say — your authentically human experiences and expertise are as valuable as gold-touched kintsugi pottery.
So let’s lean on it. Your blog, freebies, email newsletters, and social media posts provide opportunities to showcase your experience and expertise, establish your credibility, and build trust.
Once upon a time blog copywriters simply regurgitated the best articles on Google to rank among them. Today, the internet demands better.
Now, content writing is about leaning into your lived experience, bold opinions, and professional insights to create content that’s as human as it is helpful.
As your content writer, I help give a clear and cohesive voice to your expertise and experiences. Together, we’ll create inimitable content — blog posts, articles, emails, and more — through:
Collaboration
I work with you to mine your expertise, personal anecdotes and industry knowledge for a unique perspective. Those interviewing skills from my Grad Dip in Journalism are finally coming through for me!
Rigorous research
I go deep. My Bachelor of Arts (Honours) is finally coming in handy, helping me make sense of research jargon + communicate it clearly. As your blog copywriter, I scour primary sources, academic studies, and original data to back up every claim.
Storytelling
I transform your insights into narratives that connect with your audience on a deeper level with the help of storytelling techniques honed from a previous life as a travel blogger (RIP ARoamerTherapy) and 11+ years of content writing.
Search engine optimisation (SEO)
Unlike the 24-hour buzz of a LinkedIn or Instagram post, an optimised blog post has a proven lifespan of almost 2 years! I ensure every blog post is backed by SEO strategy and serves Google all the good stuff with on-page SEO.

Step 1: Enquiry
Once I’ve received your enquiry, I’ll reach out to you with my availability (please give me 48 hours to respond — company of one over here!).
We may chat in more detail in an Intro Chat over Zoom. If you’re not even sure what you need, I can suggest ways to create or improve your content strategy. Then I’ll send you all the details of the proposed project, including the cost and timeframe.
If you’d like to go ahead, simply accept the proposal within 7 days. If not, just shoot me an email saying thanks but no thanks — no hard feelings!
Step 2: Knowledge gathering
We kick off with a questionnaire, where I’ll ask you everything I need to know to get started. There is NO such thing as being too detailed — tell me everything you can and send me ALL the documents you think may help me write your content.
I may also follow up the questionnaire with further prompts to mine your deep knowledge and unique perspective. This is what makes your content truly original.
You may choose to share more information with me in dot points, as a voice message, or in another Zoom call where I can record your thoughts.
Step 3: Content writing
It’s time for me to disappear into your world. I’ll conduct keyword research for SEO and rigorous topic research. Then I’ll create an outline for the content. I may shoot it to you at this point for approval or to fill in any knowledge gaps.
Then I’ll write the optimised content between brainstorming beach walks. Once it’s ready, I’ll send you the first draft as a Google Doc.
Step 4: Review and approve
I consider our work together as a collaboration, which means I invite you to (digitally) scribble all over the first draft. Using track changes and comments, you can add your expertise where you see fit and fact-check where necessary.
I want you to OWN these pieces. We will complete two rounds of revisions before I brew one last cuppa, conduct a final proofread, and send you the finished draft.
I’m blessed with repeat clients and retainers, which means I have limited availability throughout the year. The lead time for a new project (how long it takes before we can start working together) can be anywhere from a few days to a few months, depending on how big the project is.
Cancellations and roadblocks occur. When they do, I pounce on my waitlist — the list you’ll be added to if you fill out this form.
Please pour yourself a nice big cuppa and answer the questions with as much detail as possible. It helps me gauge whether I’m right for you (if I’m not, I’ll email you my best copywriter recommendations). And it means we can hit the ground running if a space opens up.

What is content writing?
Content writing involves writing educational, entertaining, or thought provoking digital content that showcases your expertise and experience.
This type of strategic content is an important part of your marketing efforts, driving organic traffic (it brings people to your website without paid ads), raising awareness of your brand, answering your prospects’ questions, and building your credibility.
It can take the form of:
What is the difference between a copywriter and a content writer?
While I use the terms interchangeably, there is an important distinction between a copywriter and a content writer.
Copywriting is about understanding and talking directly to your audience to help them decide whether to use your service or product. Its main purpose is to sell or persuade and its main aim is conversions. A copywriter can write anything from sales pages and launch emails to ads and taglines.
Content writing is about educating and entertaining them. Making them think. Helping them learn. Its main purpose is to inform and its main aim is to drive traffic to the website (and build your authority and trust). A content writer can write a broad range of informational pieces, including blog posts, PR articles, e-books, freebies, and email newsletters.
So why do I use the term ‘blog copywriting’? Easy — SEO! It’s what people are searching for. Sometimes using on-page SEO and the language of your audience means you might not always use terms that are 100% accurate in your mind. But what’s more important is that your readers understand you. And if my prospective clients think I’m a blog copywriter, that’s what I am!
Psst. I’m also a copywriter in the traditional sense, since I provide website copywriting services as well as blog copywriting (aka content writing) services.
Can you upload the blog post for me?
I’m not a website designer but my blog copy often includes recommendations for different components of the post, including image suggestions and design ideas. I also provide advice to make sure your on-page SEO is in place once the copy is uploaded.
I can also upload your blog posts onto your website for you for an additional cost. If you prefer the professional route, I partner with some amazing experts, including Ola Digital and Design Salad Studio and will happily refer you to them.
Do you offer end-to-end content marketing, including strategy, content writing, image sourcing + uploading?
Absolutely! I have often taken over the whole job, including not just the content writing but coming up with the blog post topics based on extensive keyword research (aka, finding out what your people want to know), finding or even creating images on your behalf, and uploading the lot.
Do you write social media posts?
It’s not my specialty but I can absolutely write social media posts for you and I love a change from my classic blog copywriting! For an additional cost, I can also write social media posts to help you promote each freshly published blog post.
Do you do email copywriting?
Once again, while email copywriting isn’t my specialty (SEO copywriting is my true forte), it is ABSOLUTELY a part of my content writing services. For an additional fee, I can also write emails to promote your freshly published blog posts.
What if I need further edits beyond the two included revisions?
This rarely happens but I want to make sure we have your copy just right. I’m always open to working outside the original scope, including making further revisions, although any work outside the original scope will be charged at a rate of $150 per hour.
I need something quickly — is it too late to enquire?
It depends. If it’s a small project — just one website page — I may be able to squeeze it in at the last minute. A rush rate of 25% applies to projects with a deadline within 48 hours.
Big projects — multiple website pages or a whole website copywriting project from scratch — take time. It may be a few weeks, possibly months, before I can begin work on them so you’ll need to think ahead and submit your enquiry with a generous deadline in mind.
My needs don’t fit neatly into a package or offer...
I understand. Sometimes, you don’t quite know what you need. Or you do but it doesn’t fit into a neat description. Perhaps you’ve already written a rough draft of your website page and you just need someone to pull it all neatly together. Sometimes you just need feedback on your copy in a detailed copy review.
Alongside fixed rates, I also offer flexible Copywriter in Your Corner hourly rates. Book any number of hours you might need (I can help you figure out a ballpark timeframe) and we can get to work on a range of ad hoc projects for your business.
